Phryne Fisher is quickly becoming a favorite character. This is the first book I read in this series, and I read it shortly after reading Murder on the [b:Orient Express|16304|Murder on the Orient Express (Hercule Poirot Mysteries)|Agatha Christie|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1166722586s/16304.jpg|2285570]. Fortunately I don't have a train trip scheduled in my near future, or I would be risking insomnia! Anyway, I enjoyed this primarily because I love Phryne. She's tough, witty, classy, and uses her skills and her wealth for the greater good. These books have all been quick, satisfying escapes from reality.
