Jack 'Jacko' Argyle served a short sentence before dying in prison for murdering his adopted mother. He maintained his innocence and he provided an alibi with no witness. Dr. Arthur Calgary was his alibi, but he had an accident short after meeting Jacko. He feels guilty and, after recovering his memories before the accident, he goes to Sunny Point to confess to Jack's family. However, Jacko was a problem child, and his family was satified believing he had killed the matriarch. But Dr. Calgary's testimony casts a shadow on the family; they have to face the truth, one of them killed Mrs. Argyle, and they might not stop.
Boring, boring, boring. It's really hard on me when there's no lead detective on the case. So many chapters with no purpose (to me). The only telltale was the second to last chapter. I can't understand how the other two characters figured it out.
