Children of Ash and Elm: A History of the Vikings by Neil Price

adventurous challenging informative slow-paced

3.75

I’ll give this one 3.5-4 stars. It was super interesting and very detailed. Maybe too detailed? I don’t know, but it felt like I was reading a text book. I was hoping the writing would be more “fun” to read based on the review on the cover that said it was “thrilling to read.” I don’t know about “thrilling”, but it was dense and very detailed and very informative. I did enjoy learning more about this culture that we usually only know from tv and movies and that barely scratches the surface.
