Disturbing in its medical horror and infuriating in the tale of misogynistic practices against women in medical experimentation. It is terrifying to think this story is rooted in truth.
Butcher was overall a good read, but there were times when the book was just dragging, which brings the overall rating down, in my opinion.
The writing was the stongest point of this book. I did really like the writing style. This story did feel as if it were written in the 1800s.
