Lun and Tandy

When King Storr and his mate Deirdre are shot down over the planet shortly after signing a peace treaty between the humans and Varool, his brother Lun and Tandy (commander of the Earth military), set out to find them.
The only way anyone can go down to the planet, is by mating a member of the other species, not such a hardship considering that Lun discovers Tandy is his fated mate.
The problem is that the Varool don’t trust the humans after the humans released a virus that killed all the human men and Varoolian females, and it will take trust for them to work together and finish their task.

This is the second book in the series, but can easily be read before the other, as it occurs at the same time. That being said, a lot of the background regarding the virus is set up in the first book, and it does make for a better understanding if that one is read first.
Like the first, it is an action filled traipse through the jungle, with assorted dangers, a cute alien pet, and a number of cultural and linguistic misunderstandings (although my favourite was Storr’s thinking Deirdre worshipped a god of crap in the first book!).
Our main characters are forced to be together (though neither are unwilling), and the journey allows them to really get to know each other. Amid sexy times and danger, they gradually fall in love and learn that assumptions aren’t always true.

An enjoyable sci-fi romance, with plenty of action, adventure, and of course (eventually) the bad guys! Recommended for sci-fi romance lovers.
