The other reviewers seem very focused on Robin's curiosity about sex. This is perfectly normal behavior for a 15 year old. What should not be normal, is the host of ways Robin is failed by the adults in her life. Her mother has pushed her to hate her body and participate in diet culture, and she clearly has not had thorough enough sex education. If she had, perhaps she would've gone for help following Frankie's initial act of abuse. I'm disheartened that the book frames the sexual relationship between Robin (15) and Frankie (23) as anything other than assault, and that the other reviewers seem to have the same perspective. I kept reading, though, because I found Robin endearing and I was rooting for her growth and hoping she would make it out okay.
