Another Brooklyn by Jacqueline Woodson

I read this too quickly. Loved the writing. Immediately read another book by the same author. Couldn't tell you the plot a month and a half later but wouldn't be angry if a book club chose this and I had an excuse to read it again.

Memorable quote:

"I know now that what is tragic isn't the moment. It is the memory."
