This book was such a fun read. I love how it picks up right where the first book left off. I loved seeing Isla’s char at development! I was so convinced I was going to be solely team Oro, but damn it I was wrong. I usually am not a fan of love triangles but this one is really good!
I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 due to the fact that I still feel like the world building was a little off. The world building was definitely better than the first book but I feel like some of it was just too convenient? Like some of the plot devices felt too easy and convenient.
Besides that I really love this series so far! I’m not going to lie, I truly thought this was a duology, so the ending was very shocking to say the least. But it is nostalgic in a way. I haven’t been so invested in a series (besides fourth wing) where the next book isn’t out yet! The excitement of waiting for the next book is so fun, I haven’t had this feeling since Cassandra Clares The Dark Artifice’s series!
