I love this series with my whole heart, and this book was no exception. Backman writes incredibly complex characters. There truly are no villains in his books because of the layers he adds to every last person. Like the others, the plot will keep you guessing at times and the tears will flow at others. This one also had some beautiful descriptions of friendship that made me nostalgic for those days of early adulthood where, for a moment or two, things feel magical and uncomplicated and beautiful.
