I picked up this book with the hopes that I would gain some insight into how my husband and I can raise our 4 “PK’s” but I was disappointed that this book was a poorly written, cynical reflection of mostly negative experiences. While I don’t want to discount the author’s personal experiences (or the experiences of those he quoted in the book) I feel like he used a very broad brush to paint a picture that may or may not apply to the majority of pastor’s kids. The book had a pretty hopeless tone throughout, which is a disappointment, since the author claims to have experienced God’s grace. I certainly wish I had seen more of a focus on the Gospel.
