Christmas on 4th Street and Yours for Christmas by Susan Mallery

2.0

I wanted Christmas cheese...and I got cheese. But it was the cheesiest cheese I ever did cheese.

I mean, I read it all and read it (fairly) quick. I even got the romantic chest tingly feeling that I love from Christmas Hallmark movies (which doesnt make them good.. probably more a testament to the time of year). Terrible dialogue. Clunky sentences. Fade to black love scenes (no fair!). Overly dramatic character backstories. NOT TO MENTION completely unrealistic redemption arc for the dudes' dad.

The characters fall in love, change their outlook on life, heal their emotional traumas and get married in the time from thanksgiving to Christmas. Yeah, yeah there was a bride and groom on the cover but I hoped it would either be her bridesmaid dress, or they would have got married in an epilogue a year or two later.
