So far, this is the first Junji Ito short-story collection I've read that comes close to Uzumaki in terms of consistent, cringe-worthy horror. While the themes differ, all of the stories are eerie and haunting (and some are incredibly gruesome and nasty); surprisingly, I found the more atmospheric ghost-adjacent stories to be the most enjoyable. Standouts for me are "Tomio-Red Turtleneck," "Gentle Goodbye," "Dissection-chan," and "Whispering Woman."
