Mixed feelings about this one. Interesting plot and quick pacing with supernatural elements cleverly included in 1930’s Spain.

However, I had some issues.
The concept and worldbuilding were decent enough but at times it felt like some key information was missing to connect with the characters, especially with Miquel, whom in my opinion, was a really underdeveloped character: he was always by Diago and Rafael’s side, never complaining and always understanding. He was more like the typical side character that is there solely to help and support the main characters but has not deep of his own; there’s a glimpse in the third novella about how he feels, but it was too short to make a difference.

Also, as a spaniard reading this book set in Spain, I questioned some of the "spanish" expressions and names/surnames used on this book. I’m pretty sure pendejo is more typical from Latinoamerican spanish language than from Spain’s.

Even though I had some gripes with this, I’m interested enough to read the next short stories though I hope we get more development for certain characters and some changes in Diago/Miquel relationship so it feels more equal.
