Mary Balogh is one of my favorite authors; yet, this is not her best work. After finishing the Westcott series I was really looking forward to this new one! It didn’t live up to what I had concocted in my mind.
The plot development was pretty slim; yet, there was so much fluff in there I felt sidetracked at time. I had a hard time connecting and empathizing with some of the characters. Oh well, on to the next read!
