I feel like this should be required reading. In reading this I realized that my parents, despite both being highly educated, taught me almost nothing about money. Their philosophy was “save, save, save”, which isn’t bad advice, but it definitely leaves you feeling like you’re playing a game you can never win because everyone else is playing a different set of rules.

This book is a bit controversial — and believe me, I definitely took issue with a lot of it — but I can’t deny that it made me think about money, income, and even what it means to be “rich” differently.
