ok first off WOW omg that cover is stunning !!
house of hollow is a fun little read about 3 sisters: grey, vivi and iris. each of them posses magical abilities which makes them ‘strange’. grey and vivi wield these to their advantage whereas iris tends to avoid using them. one day grey goes missing and vivi and iris go on a quest to find her.
this book was delightfully creepy. i wasn’t terrified as i’d hoped to be, but the authors descriptions and depictions were gloriously strange. the plot was also very exciting and i loved how mysterious everything was.
i liked a lot about this book: the characters, the descriptions, the plot. the only thing that really let this down was the amount of things i did not know at the end of the book. so many things are left unanswered and i have so many questions about things that happened throughout the book that are never mentioned again. the ending is also rather open but this book seems to be listed as a standalone which frustrates me.
