Well first, the start of the book seemed a bit slow to me, even if the madness started right in the first chapter. There were a few things I questioned and didn't like, for example, characters having English names when they were supposed to be Chinese and so on, however this was explained and I'm glad.
For me, it started to get really interesting around the middle of the book, I had to keep myself away from reading.
I absolutely love the relationship between the main characters, how they were lovers at first, then hated each other, or at least tried to convince themselves, then realised they are in love and at the end, they could be considered enemies yet again, I absolutely love that! And the fact that they are heiresses to their gangs, so their love is never going to be able to happen basically, LOVE THAT.
There are a few things I didn't like, for example French not being translated. I was fine with the Chinese or Russian or Korean, those were easy words I could understand, some of them were translated in the text. However, if I was a person that had zero knowledge, they would not understand a thing. And nothing was ever truly translated, this one set the book back a little.
The story was good, I liked it, kinds felt like a detective story, which I like! I now absolutely have to read the sequel to find out what happens next. Atfter a while, I realized I didn't really care about the story itself? More like I wanted to see what will happen to the characters and so on.
And also, still shook bc of chapter 36, somehow it was only one sentence but its sooooo good!
