Sweet Disorder by Rose Lerner

3.5 stars

I read Rose Lerner's first book when it came out and haven't read another one since. I picked this one up on sale and enjoyed it a lot. (I didn't dislike the first book but for some reason never read any of her others). This book has a lot of political maneuvering that is fascinating in its historical setting. I appreciate how Lerner is so specific and real in her historic details as well. I liked the entire cast of characters, but the heroine especially. There was a lot of fairly predictable drama at the end but it was kind of worth it because the climatic confrontation with all the parties in the church at the end was rather hilarious.
