"Never be afraid to sit awhile and think" ~ Asagai in A Raisin in the Sun

This is a timeless play that speaks to the struggles and challenges among people in America. It is focused on a lower-class black family living in the south side of Chicago, but one could argue that any group of people that others determine to be 'less than' in their eyes would face a similar experience.

It is about hope, struggling for what is right, courage to face those that are against you as well as believing in yourself, in order to rise up when others push you down.

Short, but powerful, with strong characters that are as relevant today as they were when it was written. Especially liked the reference to sunlight as hope.

Highly recommend!
