Awesome writing! The pacing took a dip near the end, but finished brilliantly. The main characters, two grown up childhood friends, share a rapport that dazzles through thick and thin. The office personnel are people one can see and hear and we are in on all their foibles, while the lady who owns the diner heaps her meals with TLC. The scene in the storm with the Old Cheyenne guiding the way is heart gripping. I can't wait to read another one and I'd much rather read it, for the sheer pleasure, than view the series, good as the adaptation may be.
