A Cold Dark Place by Gregg Olsen
3.0
Certainly took a turn at the end which I was not fully expecting.
Emily Kenyon is a police officer in a small Washington community. She left the pressures of Seattle to move back to her childhood home to raise her daughter. Her most recent case involves the death of a family and the disappearance of a teenager. Is he dead too? As she gets further into the case, her daughter disappears too. Is there a connection? It becomes increasingly difficult for Emily to juggle everything that she has going on (and there's a lot going on).
I've always enjoyed Gregg Olsen's true crime. He's been writing more fiction lately and his experiences with researching killers has surely helped with writing his bad guys.
