Girl Who Knew Too Much by Vikrant Khanna
1.0

Please if you value your time and your taste in books, do not read this one. It actually gave me a headache. The book starts with a question "Are you a believer or a cynic?", well okay I call myself a believer so I went ahead with it.
****SPOILER ALERT****
The book can be divided into two parts. The first one contained a cheesy romance which made no sense and I seriously questioned its existence in every way possible. The second part was well an upgraded version of Sonpari.

PART ONE-for the first few pages it went fine,(by fine i mean no headaches, there was nothing phenomenal about the story) it had a depressing love triangle and the romance was too cheesy tbh. Then the narrator dies and claims to be a ghost and stalks the girl who barely acknowledged his existence and does not even know that he died. A lot of cheesy pages later, the actual couple in the story are about to get married but the guy dies exactly ten days before the marriage. Did I tell you that the ghost of the narrator still stalks her every single day of his life,(oh no but he's dead, nevermind).I think he stalked her for 4-5 years.

PART TWO-Obviously the girl is devastated, breaks down and does all the crying in the world but one day she comes up with an idea that if she performs a thousand good deeds then god would miraculously return her love back. Let's take a moment to contemplate this, the author wants us to be a believer but this is asking too much. Wasn't the girl lead supposed to be educated? Or even have had a tad bit of common sense. Well no, that was wishful thinking and she had none. Okay so now the narrator steps in and asks YAMRAJ,(a moment of silence please) to help him. He grants him powers to remain visible only and only to the girl. He brushes through the topic of his parents who lost their only son at an early age and never recovered. Well don't worry they did not even know of their son's after death activities and they do not get to see him, BECAUSE CRAZY TEENAGE LOVE IS WORTH SO MUCH MORE THAN YOUR PARENTS(slow clap). YAMRAJ also gives him powers to detect other people's sorry before hand. So he helps the girl with her deeds. A very badly portrayed image of psychiatrists is mentioned. Because you know all this crap makes perfect sense. Then one day GOD(bright light in the story) commands YAMARAJ to restore back the dead guys life(not the narrator, obviously).

Read the book if you have lost your sanity and are ready to believe in a load of shitty crap in the name of miracle.

P.S-I read this book just because it was a gift.
