My experience with this book was psychologically challenging. The book wrestles with deep philosophical concepts about human consciousness and the universe, as well as the psyches of the main characters. Really fascinating stuff, but not the best book to read if you're not in a great headspace. I also love the vampires, both cool and well executed for the overall narrative of the book.
I would call the pace fast if not for the amount of jargon and technical lingo, a lot of which has actual scientific merit and is not just throw in as cool fluff. Interesting but definitely creates a bit of a barrier between the reader and the narrative.
Ultimately loved this book conceptually, but maybe found it more interesting to think about than read.
