Savaged follows Harper and Lucas.
Harper grew up in foster care after losing her parents young, and Lucas is this “wild” man who seems to raise himself in the woods.  Lucas is initially the only connection to a double homicide at the hands of a mysterious bow and arrow.  Harper is called a “wilderness expert” while the crime is being investigated.  At first, it seems like so many different stories are happening simultaneously, but Lucas and Harper's story becomes so intertwined it’s hard to judge anything by what meets the eye.

This book was pretty interesting.  It held my attention and had a lot of twists and turns.  It was equally a mystery and a romance, and the two genres were woven together well.  The plot was slightly predictable, but also there was a wow factor when the whole story came together.  It’s a bit of a slow burn when it comes to the romance, but because you have the suspense and the whodunnit and why going on, it adds to the overall story, making it feel less as slow.

I recommend this book for a small-town mystery with a cinnamon roll MMC!
