As I Lay Dying by William Faulkner

2.0

Alternating between books new to my TBR and those I put on it >1 year ago and I put this baby on my list in 2018. Read now as a sort of palate cleanser after a string of mystery/thrillers, and what better for that than a classic I've been meaning to read. Consumed on kindle.

This was a difficult read for me, I really struggled with the language and found that it in combination with the stream-of-consciousness prose made it hard for me to orient myself. I ended up looking up a cheat-sheet list of characters to help me. I think maybe I would have enjoyed this better if I'd read it in a class or with others where I could debrief. I never really connected with any of the characters.
