I loved the movie 300. The graphic novel look, the sepia-toned desaturation, with red being the dominant color. The heavy metal orgy guitars reminded me of Spartacus. It's been a long time since I've read any manga or graphic novels. This one is gritty, dirty and gory. Can't ask for more than that. I was really surprised at how much of the dialogue from the book made it into the movie. And I must confess that I heard David Wenham narrating, and Gerard Butler yelling 'This is Sparta!'
