A Dowry of Blood by S.T. Gibson

This book’s main theme is abusive relationships, and I had hoped that the added aspect of vampires would have enriched this story more than it did. I had hoped that it would make it more unique. Yet the story decides to be a very basic story of abuse. There is also power in that though. Many abusive relationships follow the same formula, and saying that it would even be the same for vampires is definitely also an interesting take.

Definitely a very quick read, as I’ve read this within a day. Not sure if I will remember it. But I think it’s a nice addition to the books about abusive relationships and breaking free from them.
