This was cute and had great messages. I would have really loved this at 16. The cover is so cool!
The characters were awesome, though I did get confused with who was who after a certain point. There are two POVs, so two main characters but four to six additional characters that we spend the most time with and then extended characters- classmates, teachers, family, friends, and an entire knitting group outside of that. It was a bit much at times, but the main group was well written and relatable.
The overall pacing was good, but there wasn’t enough significance placed on the competitions- they just happened and then were over. Not much suspense at all. I also struggled to really enjoy the bittersweet ending, but I get the point.
I found the lawyer speak tedious and confusing, but that’s a me thing- the courts are not for me, and thankfully that wasn’t a huge focus.
