I'm Still Here: Black Dignity in a World Made for Whiteness by Austin Channing Brown
5.0
An amazing account of a black woman’s life and experiences. This is such a good dive into how white people are/can be when dealing with race and racism and how that affects black folks, particularly within the framework of American society/institutions. I feel like everybody (at least white people) should give this a listen/read. Any discomfort felt is important.
There is a lot about Christianity and how all that fits into this, which I’m not religious, but I think a lot of Christians could learn a lot from this.
