I was very on the fence with this one. The start was really strong, and I liked all of the characters, but the romance fell completely flat. It felt so forced and boring.

Also seemed super odd that he assumed that she'd be completely fine going back to the olden days. She's a photographer; she would be stripped of her passion. I'm glad they ended up staying, but it was still completely on his terms. Was super odd that, after showing her being such a strong character, she'd give up her entire life for a dude. I mean, I love Hoyt too, but going back to what, the fourteenth century? No way.

Overall, I enjoyed this book, and I do want to eventually read the sequel cause I want to know what happens with these characters. But do I feel like slogging through the forced romance? Only time will tell.
