The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo
by Amy Schumer
I always love when the book is read by the author, you get to experience the book exactly how the author wants you to. This book had some stories that were very graphic that weren't what I exactly wanted to listen to and the only reason I kept fordging on was due to the fact that I had nothing else to listen to. But I'm glad I did, as the book went on she started talking about more real life stuff, instense stuff that brought tears to my eyes more than once. She was very honest in this book. She talked about how she lost her virginity to rape and how she comforted him because he felt so bad. She talked about how she was in a crazy abusive relationship, and how to went back to him. She talked about how her image of her mother was shattered and how she lost her best friend because of what her mom did. Her sort of humor isn't exactly my cup of tea, but the messages she was trying to convey were very strong and told by an unlikely person. I don't think I could have finished this book if I were reading it, so I'm glad I listened to the audiobook.
