The Woman in the Window by A.J. Finn

4.0

3.5 stars bc it sucked but I still enjoyed it. It could have been SO much better if it had been half as long without all that stupid descriptive language. I don't need 3 sentences describing the way a light bulb flickers. I get it. I've seen light bulbs flicker before. And at one point it turned out that the narrator was lying to us in a way that's not even an unreliable narrator, but an unreliable author doing The Most for her plot twist.
Spoiler It was obvious that she was hallucinating her husband and daughter, but it would have been so much better if she didn't know she was hallucinating them. Instead she was lying to us for the sole freaking purpose of a dumb plot twist.
But there were some creepy scenes, so whatever.

Edit: This book has stayed with me in a very positive light. Sometimes you have to wait a while to tell how you feel about a book, and I like this one. I mean, That Scene, am I right??
