What a ride! The book was very different from what I expected (dystopia hogwarts, anyone?). I'm also glad, I didn't read the description to discover really every single plot twist on my own. And boy, are there plenty of those.
The writing style with its Micro-sentences in first person perspective takes a very short getting used to, but then you'll find yourself flying through the book. The main character is mostly likeable, although it sometimes seems weird how he's so successful in what he's doing and you'll find yourself forgetting that those characters are supposedly kids in their teens. But I found myself cheering (and howling :) ) for Darrow, as the plot progressed. Between all the seriousness and the social-critical topics touched on in this book, I also found myself laughing loudly every now and then when the author cracks a joke.

Overall I can highly recommend this book and am glad there's plenty more in the series, which I'll be soon to start soon.
