Reading the mammoth that is IT makes you feel like a little kid again. Scared to go to the toilet at night, slyly looking over your shoulder on the way back to bed and point blank refusing to even look at the drain... This is King at his worst. It's hard to give such a long book a rating as it's effectively 2-in-1 but this extraordinary book, arguably his magnum opus, is thrilling to the last and never loses that characteristic King 'charm'.
Typical King, just when you think the same jump scare that's happened every 50 pages for over 1000 won't scare you again, it does! A true master of the art.
