This was not at all what I was expecting. I really enjoyed the beginning of the book and how different and nuanced the three female protagonists were (which is not something easy to achieve when you are juggling different pov's!). A third of the way through, however, the story kept dragging and I patiently waited for something bigger to happen. I considered DNF-ing this one, but then the plot started coming together with a big, unexpected twist and I quickly finished the book. There were a few other surprises along the way which made up for the middle of the book - I get why we needed to have that information after reading the book, but while I was reading I was not as engaged as I was during the first and last thirds.
