| It's literally sapphic Dracula; written before Dracula. The original vampire story as the creatures we know today (humanoid, impossibly beautiful etc.), this is the lost original and, in all honesty, FAR better than Dracula! As a classic, it uses very accessible language and isn't complex in the slightest.
If you like any kind of vampire story, you must read this! The twist isn't much of a shock, but it's super engaging (and very short)
