The Pirate's Tempting Stowaway by Erica Ridley

3.0

Steele turned his face toward the open hatchway and bellowed, “Galley! Tray of lukewarm scraps for the lady.” “Everyfing’s still hot,” came the return shout.
“Dip it in the ocean,” Steele called back.

I appreciated that Steele and Clara were both in their late 30s and this wasn’t some grizzled pirate ravishing a virginal miss, but overall the chemistry felt contrived. The plot rushed forward so fast only to spend the last 10% in a very stupid conflict that was easily resolved.
