Another swoon-worthy romance from Ana Kirk Shaw! Teach Me a Lesson had everything I love in a romance—authentic writing, characters you can’t help but root for, and just the right balance of (sexual) tension and spice.

The story follows Mia and Elias, best friends since childhood who now live and work together as teachers. When Mia asks Elias to help her gain confidence and learn how to attract a man, their dynamic shifts in ways neither of them expected. What starts as a seemingly harmless arrangement quickly blurs the lines between friendship and something much more intense.

One of the standout elements of this book is how genuine and realistic the writing feels—something Ana Kirk Shaw consistently excels at. Mia’s character development is beautifully done. I loved reading her development as she gains her confidence. And, of course, the chemistry between Mia and Elias is off the charts. The spice scenes are steamy and well-written—definitely not a book you want to read at work!

Overall, Teach Me a Lesson is a must-read for romance lovers, especially those who enjoy the friends-to-lovers trope with plenty of heat. If you’re looking for a book that will make you fall in love with its characters while delivering all the right emotional and romantic beats, this one won’t disappoint.
