Stories of Anne and Gilbert still enthral me. I love the flow of Montgomery’s writing and the multi-generational cast even if we aren’t in beloved Avonlea anymore. This touches on so many hard life experiences from infant loss, caring for a sick spouse, and leaving the home where you have your first babies but it is done so beautifully.
