Mel Fell by Corey R. Tabor

funny hopeful inspiring lighthearted relaxing fast-paced

4.5

First, I love Kingfishers.  They soon-to-be, if not already, the new mascot of UIUC.  Hail to the Orange!  Mel decides it's time to fly and they find the courage to take the leap.  I love that this book is in a different orientation because Mel is falling.  Once you're used to it, the book flips!  It's a fun way to tell a story about a bird.  We meet a few other creatures who offer help along the way.  I love that Mel is courageous and is sure of themselves.

We chose this book for a Story Stroll.
