This was hands down my favorite volume of The Wandering Inn yet. I heard quite a bit that the general consensus from huge fans of the series is that the book starts out really slow. While I can certainly see where they are coming from since a lot of side stories get a huge bunch of time dedicated to them within this volume, I did not get that feeling at all.
Maybe it also was the fact that I took a little break between Volume 5 and 6 but to me it felt absolutely refreshing and I got completely engulfed in the story again within the first few chapters.

Out of the big side stories here: I absolutely loved one of them (D), was totally surprised how engaged I got in another after being sceptical at the beginning of that arc (E) and struggled a bit in the beginning through a third but that got totally rectified later with some amazing chapters (K). You can also totally see how the author begins and continues to weave these threads into our main plot. And I'm pretty sure when it all comes together it's gonna be glorious.

The other huge bonus for this volume is how emotional some of the arcs of the characters in our main story surrounding the Inn got. Like really deeply emotional stuff that does not leave a dry eye. And also the slice of life stuff that was somewhat missing and/or not that great in volume 5 comes back strong and better than ever here.

Read The Wandering Inn! You're not gonna regret it.
