The Absolute Sandman, Volume One by Malcolm Jones III, Mike Dringenberg, Kelley Jones, Michael Zulli, Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth, Colleen Doran, Charles Vess, Steve Parkhouse, Chris Bachalo

4.0

An interesting beginning to this massive work. When I picked this out, sight unseen from the library, I had no idea what I was getting into...each volume a little over 600 pages it seems. Still, I did want to read ‘The Sandman’ and not knowing where to start, I decided, I suppose, to ‘start’ with all of it. I have enjoyed the evolving look of Morpheus through this first volume. Gaiman has an incredible mind and a gift for conjuring stories that include the oddest of characters and he has surrounded himself with some of the best in the business to create ‘The Absolute Sandman.’ I look forward to reading the rest.
