The Plays of Oscar Wilde by Oscar Wilde
3.0
Vera/Duchess of Padua/Unfinished stories - DNF, boring
Salome - creepy uncle-stepdad, biblical. Dry stuff. 2*
Lady Windermere's Fan/A Woman of No Importance - both make broadly the same point, but the second more empathetically and comically. Classic Wilde starts here, very quippy. 3*
An Ideal Husband - quite preachy and surprisingly regressive ending. Characters endlessly flip-flopping. Less fond of this one. 3*
The Importance of Being Earnest - definitely the best of the lot. Less moralising, more humour. 4*
