The Turn of the Screw by Henry James
4.5
dark mysterious reflective tense medium-paced
Plot or Character Driven: Plot
Strong character development: No
Loveable characters: Complicated
Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

Dense prose but quick chapters with compelling plot. A governess’ obsession over the innocence of the children under her care manifests threats to their innocence that may be real or imagined. I enjoyed the exploration of how dangerous this obsession can be.
