I didn't like this story that much. The ending was dramatic, but the rest was kind of dull. I didn't believe that the main character would really be that ignorant of everything going on - wouldn't he have been in on all of the Hitler Youth stuff? especially since his dad was a commandant. I didn't like the writing style of the book either. The term "out-with" really bothered me too since it only works in English and I doubt that is the language that they were speaking.
