The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran

5.0

Almost 20 years after choosing a passage from The Prophet for my wedding vows, I figured it was time to actually read the entire book. Being a fairly small book, I mistakenly thought it would be an "easy read". Although not difficult in a technical literary sense, practically every sentence is packed with profound wisdom that my head spun on a regular basis. Reading this book once is most definitely not enough...it's going right next to The Four Agreements and When Things Fall Apart on my "To Be Read Annually" shelf.
