They say "truth is stranger than fiction". Indeed!
This woman had a crazy idea of hiking the Pacific Crest Trail all by herself from California to Oregon. The first thing that came to my mind was "Is she crazy? It's not safe out there, especially for a 26 year old woman hiking alone!". She didn't bring any gun, mace or even pepper spray. All she had to defend herself against predators (animal or human) was a whistle.
The book was engaging. As I read, I was interested in finding out what happens next. Good book.
