Glass Houses by Louise Penny

4.0

How I love these characters, these storylines, and this writing. While the stories are a bit more brutal than I would normally consider "cozy," Penny dies such a great job of making these books feel cozy anyway.

4 stars here, though, because I felt like the resolution was a bit too quick to balance the very long stretch of knowing Ganache knew what was going on, thinking I probably knew what was going on, but leaving everyone else in the dark.

I also would really love for Three Pines to not be the focal point for so much violence and intrigue. I have enjoyed the ones where she had moved away from that, and I hope she does that more as the series continues.
