Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen

In an effort to be deemed as well read, I have a bunch of "classics" on my to read list. Some I know the story very well; I just feel the need to read the book. Such was the case with this book. As with stories I know well, I'm not really blown away with this book. Don't get me wrong; I love the story of Elinor and Marianne. It's a classic; so there isn't much criticism. The most surprising thing for me was Mrs. Jennings. She was much more a character than I recall in any of the other adaptations I have read or seen. The book overall was too familiar, too predictable. Maybe I wasn't in the mood for it? Maybe it was too close to reading the sea monsters version? It delivered what was expected.
