Finite and Infinite Games: A Vision of Life as Play and Possibility by James P. Carse
3.0
Had me hooked for the first half, but really lost me after it started applying the axioms to sexuality, nature, and story. The axioms Carse sets up to guide conflict in life are compelling, albeit a little hippie-ish/naive. Clearly comes from a very well-meaning place, with lots of talk about care and joy and excitement and adventure. Reminds me very much of Gödel, Escher, Bach, with a lot less math.
